Although I studied illustration in college I have been sculpting for more than twenty years. Historical portraits and both realistic and abstract figurative works have been my primary interest. My goal has been to have the viewer feel the emotion I want to express. In the realistic works I do that by replicating body language and capturing the very subtle facial expressions. In most of my abstract works I continue
to explore emotion sometimes through color, other times using body language in it's most simplified form.
